I have a 97 camry and after installing a new radio the illumination behind the insturment cluster doesn't work, checked all fuses and relays, they are all fine. The seatbelt light, check engine etc. all work just not the back lights. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

I assume you had to buy a new radio harness connector to wire in the new radio. From the circuit diagram it looks like (not sure) the radio harness and combination meter illumination may be connected somehow. I assume the combo illum. worked with the old radio. Other than the coinsidental burnout of the bulb it may be your radio hookup. Try putting back the old radio and its harness and see if the combo meter lights. If so then that's your problem. If not I'd replace the bulb.
