Look at the VIN as the first number is the country of origin. If a 1, 4 or 5 then USA. If a J then Japan.

 

Yea check the inside of your door

 

Which one do you guys prefer, japan or the us?

 

I've driven japanese built 95 and 98 Camry's(Camries?) and i gotta say from my experience they're reliable as hell. One thing that i do noticed is that if a car is imported most likely the parts are imported too so the cost for repair is gonna increase. I don't know the reliability of the american made Camrys but im sure theyre just as good as the ones made in Japan.
