Default more problems with 2000 camry

Today while driving to work, I heard a squealing noise from the engine bay. After some time, i figured it out, it is coming when the a/c is on. It is not a constant squealing nose, but it comes on for may a minute and then gone for couple minutes and then back on. During the noise, if I switch off the a/c , the noise is gone, that is how I knew it is the a/c component that is causing the noise. I could only hear the noise when stopped at a stop light (means, the noise is not that loud).
I think it is either my drive belt is loose or may be the drive belt tensioner is going bad.

Anyone had any experience like this?

Camry 2000, v4, 70K miles

Thanks in advance.
John

I just fixed that problem on my 97. The belt is a little loose. Just tighten it slightly then you should be good to go

Tighten the belt yesterday, no more squealing noise when a/c compressor is on.

Thanks showsol94 for the suggestion.
