I just got a 99 Camry CE, and noticed that the supplied key will not unlock the trunk, and after reading the owner's manual, seems that there were 2 keys, one is the master which apparently works on everything. I don't have the key code, but am wondering if a dealer can get me one from the VIN ?

they can... but they won't. They'd rather have you swap out all your locks for a ton of money. Anyways, just get an alarm system and add a trunk pop. It'd still be cheaper in some places. good luck.

I'm not sure what dealer you've tried but one close to me cut a master key, no hassles, no problem. What the dealer requires is that you show up with the car and proper I.D./ownership to make sure they're not cutting a key for a stolen car or one you want to steal.

motor822, trya couple of dealers first, it's a lot easier and less expensive.
