Default New Motor hard start.

I hope someone can help. I have a 1998 Camry 2.2. Chassis has 240K when the motor blew (told the daughter not to loan the car to her idiot boyfriend). New motor has 151K on it. I took all the parts that were working with the motor and chassis prior to being blown (intake, exhaust, ignition, etc.) and put them on the new motor. Had a hard time starting after assembly but figured it would.
Once the motor started, it ran fine. shut it down, topped off fluids and started it for test drive and all was good. Checked the check engine codes and only code was a bad fan sensor, which was there before the motor blew. All seemed fine. Next morning the car wouldn't start. After cranking a few times it started and ran for the day. Next day same thing.
Thinking the fuel system was loosing prime, I checked for leaks, no leaks. Changed the fuel pump, no change. Changed the fuel pressure regulator and swapped the diffuser on the end of the injector line, no change. Hoping someone else may have run into a similar problem and might be able to help.

What year of engine was the new motor?

Does the engine have good spark?

after all you have done ...cant see it be a fuel problem

then yes something with the spark delivery

the crank angle sensor coil packs .. immobiliser ?

if the engine came from the same model should just bolt in and run
if something seemed odd
normally one would get the ECU that was running with the replacement motor
