timing issues or 93 manual for v6
hi guys
i am trying to get my camry up and running i have put the motor back together and while doing so put the timing marks on the cams with the single dots just coming together and everything else is with the timing marks on the pullies and sprokets and stuff.
I am having problems with the timing the car backfires indicating that the timing is 180 out but the distributor only goes in one way i have a 3vzfe motor.
I think the research i found on the net telling me to line up the two single dots to come together with everything else to be top dead center is wrong can someone please tell me what timing marks to use and where to set the tdc for the crank shaft because i can not for the life of me figure out why my car will not start and run.
I have compression i have fuel i have oxygen i have spark i just can't get it timed right even if i want to i am almost certain the cams are out but how do i line them up and with what timing marks on what camshafts do i use because i only have the time to put it all together one more time or i lose my job.
Please help me people.

Would you like to email the repair manual 97-02 camry to me?
Hi,
I bought a used car 1998 camry. There is a problem of steering fluid leaking. I want to check and repair it by myself. I have no experience of repairing car, but I like to do such things. Would you like to email this manual (repair manual 97-02 camry ) to me?
My email is richardfuzz@gmail.com
Best regards.

Hey guys, Im new here, not very familiar with modern cars, I could confidently work on pre 90's ford etc.
Anyway, My 97v6 vienta overheated, being extremely unwise, I didnt want to leave the car in the area i was in, so drove it home, now there is water in the oil.
To the point, I have Hainesrepair manual 97-02 camry. It has helped, but isnt as thorough as i would have liked. I recall using Gregories books on my xf fairmont. It was MUCH more user freindly, So if someone candirect me to a more useful equivalent to what I have, or even a book focused on 3.0 1MZ-FE V6 engine rebuild etcx.
I'd be much indebted, thanx in advance.
Matt

Wow, talk about sticker shock! I just followed the link to the 2004 factory manuals and they want $395 for a set. Can anyone forward the PDF version to me?
