Default Sparkplug socket cleaning tips?

Greetings: This may sound really lame, but one of my spark plug boots kind of fell apart inside the socket and now there's bits and pieces of rubber in the socket and I can't get that stuff out for the life of me. I've already gotten a new distributor cap, sparkplug wires, and boots (comes in box together, can't part out). Thank you for your time for any suggestions.---Kate
PS: What's the best way to clean slightly used (less than 1000 miles) sparkplugs?
