I have an intermittant problem with my '98 LE. Accasionally when I turn the key to start nothing happens except the trouble lights come on. Usually on the second try it starts right up. I suspected the key switch, but the parts guy at the dealer says he has never needed to order one of those, and that it may be the contacts on the starter/solinoid. Anyone ever change those contacts? Where on the starter are they? Difficulty?

that is probably what it is. you will need to have your starter rebuilt with new contacts, its not an easy job. take it to the dealer or a local shop
