Default 05 camry 2.4 no start

While I was driving home from work about ten min into the ride my car died. I have replaced the fuel pump and strainer, spark plugs, crank sensor, maf, and soon the coil plugs. I am at a loss to fix this. The car just barely turned 100k. I dont have any noise coming from the fuel pump when I turn it over so my assumption is it needs power. I heard they were quiet so i moved on to fix other stuff. I tested with a probe and one terminal lit up.

It sounds like it wants to start but doesn't. I tried starter fluid in the air line but didn't use a lot and it sounded like it would work if I put more. I have tried two inline spark testers with no luck on them actually working for me.. back to ama... I switched relays with the horn and it works. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't find a problem like mine that I know of

Have you check all the fuses.

The fuel pump will not operate unless the engine is cranking over or running.

You might try powering the fuel pump directly at the fuel tank. Power wire might might be Blue/Black or Gray colored.

The fuel relay is built into a circuit board having the AM2, EFI and IG2 fuses.

Default Started up

Hey thank you for your fast response about an hour ago I found the problem because of you. It has to be the dumbest mistake ever after I replaced all those things. It started right up after I plugged everything in although its not quite right but its raining out so tomorrow I will replace the coils and see about the little shake on the air intake

EFI 20 AMP WAS BROKEN. ODD PART ABOUT IT WAS IT WAS BACKWARDS SO I KNOW I CHECKED IT I THINK.

I didn't check the ig2 .. it could be the maf I will swap it back if I have it. I threw out the pump so yeah.

Have a good night

Default Back to dead

Hey
it's dead again because the "am2 fuse" was blown again. Not sure yet of a fix as there aren't any searches that have the keywords. Why would they be a surge of power or is there a bad ground.. when I checked with a light probe it was right continuity. I'll check wires that could be broken or touching metal.i heard maybe a distribution cap could be the problem

before it went bad..
I switched back the maf and it sounds and looked good. The intake shook little bit when engaged in gear but wasn't like before just wanted air. I basically creep forward 15 ft and back 2x to knock rust off rotors and it dies.

The AM2 fuse circuit splits off to other circuits some protected by their own smaller amp fuse. Any other fuses blown such as IG2.

The ig2 is not blown so I guess I'll be checking for grounded wires or bring in the big guns
I've looked around and I've seen people refer to the am2 as 30 amp fuse and I have a 20. It could be my car is the low end 2.4. The am2 goes to the ignition clusters of wires buried in the protected hose.. I'll take a closer look and maybe pull the fuse box out.

There may be a capacitor located on one of the split off circuits of the AM2 fuse. Its purpose is to quiet down any electrical signals for the radio. Sometimes this capacitor shorts to ground..

I have been looking all over. I have a endoscope I shoved in beneath the steering wheel to look and can't see any problem wires. I have replaced the coil packs and 3 of the 4 tabs broke so I will have to zip tie them once I'm done. The am2 goes to many things..do you think it should be a 30amp fuse
