Default 2002 Camry SE, 3.0LV6 P1128 Code

2002 Camry SE, 3.0LV6 P1128. Throttle Control Motor circuit. Mechanic said it was Thottle Position Sensor (TPS) needed adjustment. Its runs fine but still have P1128 code and now the Traction Control (TRAC) and Skid control (VSC) lights are on. Help me please!

There were issues with some throttle motors requiring their replacement. Toyota issued a TSB EG009-02. You might call the dealer with the VIN number in hand and determine if you car was ever serviced under this TSB. Then you would know if the throttle motor is the updated one or original.

The part is very expensive new, well over $1k. If your mechanic thinks he can fix by adjusting the TPS might let him try.

If needing to buy the part try 1sttoyota.com for discount
