Default 2003 Camry steering rack

Hi all, I heard that when replacing the inner tie rod, it's best to hold the steering rack with a wrench to prevent torsion on the rack unit itself.
True or not? please, your opinions...Thank you

True.

Toyota has a special tool for this. This tool is basically an adjustable wrench having narrow jaws that will fit onto the flats of the rack plus a square hole in the handle to attach it to a breaker bar for more leverage. .
