Default 2007 hybrid to 2007 non-hybrid engine swap

Does anyone know if the engines are the same? Is it possible to take a hybrid engine and bolt it up to a automatic transmission, swap out some sensors and parts and make it work?

The hybrid engine is a variation of the non-hybrid. It has different cams, compression ratio, etc. The performance is reduced to improve fuel consumption.

An issue is the hybrid electronics would be different then the hybrid. The auto trans would require a specific engine ECU to operate it. The hybrid engine ECU is not designed for this. No such ECU exists.
