About to join the Camry Nation
After years of driving my beloved Fords and dealing with the poor dealership, I am joining the ranks and about to purchase either an SE-I4 or LE. The thought of a V6LE is tempting even though the point is mileage and reliability. Does the V6 have a timing chain? I see valve adjustment mentioned in the service for the 4 cyl but the comments make it sound like they only need to be adjusted if noisy??
We traded our F250 for a Tundra two years ago and have become Toyota fans.
Looking forward to gaining some knowledge from the learned CF population.

RE: About to join the Camry Nation
What year are you looking at?
The only chain drive engines are the 4 cyl 2AZ-FE introduced in 2002 and V6 2GR-FE introduced around 2007.
The 2GR-FE appears to have a self-adjusting lifter system, the other engines use shims. Typcially the shim engines hold clearance extremely will throughout engine life without adjustment.

Thanks for the feedback toyomoho!
I'm hoping to get the same relaibility out of a Camry that I got from my Taurus
Any feedback on the bluetooth in the JBL system?
Any comments on the SE with the 4cyl?
Thanks!

Can't help with Blue Tooth.
The 4 cylinder seems to be doing OK.
Suggest you go to www.toyotanation.com and review specific posts on the year of car you are considering. They also have a section on sound systems.
