I would definitely talk to someone who has done it beforehand. Even bringing a Canadian car into US is complicated. I know that it can be done at least because I had a neighbor do it. It was a car they don't sell here too.
Be prepared for lots of red tape, paperwork and money.
That being said, do you love the car that much? Used cars are pretty cheap over here. I would choose the easier option of selling your car and getting another one over here.
