I find myself here at cf because I was forced to buy a Japanese car. Don't misunderstand, I like my 19 y.o. gen 3 Camry but I have always been a buy american kind of guy. My last car died and I needed a car in a hurry and this was the best option. I have come to find that the general belief that Japanese cars are better than l american cars is a falsehood. This is why I am here. I need to find ways to address the many little issues that plague my car. This looks like a great place to learn about the little defects I am and will be dealing with. I hope to be a positive, contributing member here for some time to come.

The Gen 3 is one if the best Camry made, pretty much all that can go wrong is known, the car is easy to work on, and parts are readily available and reasonably priced.

Toyota had a few issues with Camry after 2001, thus newer may not always be better.
