hello everyone
I own a 1999 dodge pickup and a 1987 toyota camry. I have a 600 mile round trip commute every weekend. I became a camry enthusiast when diesel fuel went over $4.00 a gallon. I have found that the 1987 camry is very easy to work on and have very recent experience changing the struts, the front hub bearings, all of the motor and transmission mounts, the timing belt, and a complete tear down and rebuild of the engine (3SFE). The rebuild was completed at 257,000 miles and I found very little engine wear on the bottom end. After inspection by a machinist, I reassembled the engine with standard rings and bearings! I now plan on keeping this car forever.
Just wanted to say hi.
