Default New To Camry

Hi folks never owned a Toyota much less a Camry,i was given the car from my father before he passed he knew i loved it and would take great care of it as he did. The Camry is an 2001 XLE w/3.0 v6 and fully loaded,my father ordered the car with everything and a beautiful Graphite Grey Pearl,i had to drive the car back from California, about 1100 miles in 21 hours and it drove wonderful while keeping it at 65 mph it got very good gas mileage for a v6. Well i am here to gain knowledge and advice for keeping the trend of care for Dads Cam (as he called it)going, and with only 20,201 miles on the Cam as of today i may only have a narrow range of questions to seek answers and or opinions of . Thanks so much and will post in an appropriate thread for .....

Welcome to the forums and sorry to hear about your dad.
The Cam sounds really nice and in mint condition.

The 2001 is a great car and should last a long time if kept up.

I thank you for that, yes it is a fantastic machine from what i read about the 4th gen v6 it is an amazing piece of engineering as is the rest of the Toyota family of autos. My dad did keep the Cam garaged and covered all the time, and only allowed Toyota to touch it,with the stores and doctors offices within a couple of miles from where my parents retirement home its the reason for such low miles even though for the most part it was driven once a week or two. I will only do the same being how busy i am at work and around the house on the weekend, yet enjoy the fine ride on trips to the junk stores with my wife every now and then....thanks again .Randy
