Default New and first time Toyota guy here.

Hey all new guy here. Just got my first ever Toyota and I have a lot to learn. I have been watching the car care nut gentleman AMD for about a month now. I have decided to do all my own maintenance on this car. It’s a 23 xle awd with 21k on the clock. I purchased it gold certified used from a dealership locally. I was pretty naïve about the process and made some assumptions about being certified and I guess all dealerships are not created equal. After finding some things that should have been caught during the “certification” process I decided that no one on the planet will care for this car as much as me so I will take over and do as much as possible myself. I tell you all that to tell you this, this is why I am here. I have some questions but will browse around this place and see what kind of answers I can find. So if you made it this far thanks and imma head out and start digging through this forum and see what’s in here.
cheers.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Camry!
Certified means different things to different dealer and I commend you on taking point on doing the maintenance. Yes, no one will care for your Camry like you do, period, ever!
That being said, 'Gold Certified' should imply some kind of guarantee/warrantee, right? Don't be afraid to to get them to do right, you paid for it.

Congrats on the 23 Camry!

As I'm sure you know, the key to keeping your Camry running like new is ongoing preventive maintenance. Have your oil changed every 5K and your air and cabin filters at least once a year. I'm hopeful that you will find the Camry Forums to be as informative and helpful as I have. It seems that whenever I have an issue the answer is just a search away.

Welcome to the forum, @Revenant! Taking care of your vehicle yourself is a wise decision, as you'll save money and know its maintenance history.
