Smile Newbie

Newbie to the site and to Toyotas.
2002 Camry SE 2.4L.
Bought the car 6 weeks ago with 120K miles on it. Runs well and gets much better mileage than the Buick LeSabre that I was driving. Average 29+ while driving country roads and some town traffic.
I am pleased so far, and expect to remain that way.
I researched and found that I preferred the Camry above most all others on the market in its size and price range. I have not been disappointed so far.
I had to replace the upper engine mount, the screws were missing on the air box (why would someone wring them off? It's not as if they needed 100LBS of torque) and will have to replace the cabin air filter.
Just returned from a 1500 mile trip, and it did well. Mileage was little less than 29 with two adults, two children and a full trunk at 80MPH.
Looking forward to many years with this car.
Please let me know if there's anything in particular that I should expect to happen with the car. I don't know of any particular failings that it has, so all input will be appreciated.

Suggest you check the condition of the fluids.

Check the trans fluid for condition. Should be clean and not black. If the trans has a separate diff fluid housing change this fluid also when changing the trans.

You can remove and replace the power steering fluid in the reservoir. Repeat this process a few times (after driving) and the fluid should be clean again.

And check brake fluid condition.

By keeping clean fluids in the car you will avoid many of the issues that come when the miles start adding up.

Thanks for the advice. I shall certainly check into it.
A mechanic friend checked it out and the tranny is integrated so there is only the transmission fluid. I'm glad of that, because it's one less step in servicing.
How do these do with Mobil1 synthetic oil?
