Default Will a 2001 VIN G go in a 1995 Vin F?

I recently bought a 2001 with a salvage title and needs lots of work but the engine runs smooth and good. I also have a 1995 that the body is amazing and everything is good but a seized engine. How hard is it to swap the 01 into the 95? Thanks in advance.

You will need to strip the engine to the block then swap parts.

For one, the 2001 doesn't have a distributor, the 95 does.

Determine if the 1995 is certified for either Federal or California State emission. The Calif State has a different head and other changes. There should be sticker under the hood stating what the car was certified to.

The 1995 engine computer is set based on engine type (including emissions certification) and trans type (stick or auto). The replacement setup will need to match the original engine setup and trans type or the computer will have issues which will reflect in performance issues.

Do some research of the differences and carefully examine both engines to determine the differences.
