So im getting my licesnse pretty soon and i cant really decide what to do

My parents have a 99 camry with about 127k miles on it, but it still runs perfectly

Im wondering if it would be worth it by putting money into it, such as supercharger, engine work, body kit and so on

 

Depends, are your parents going to LET you trick out THEIR car? Or are they givin it to you?

In the end, I have one answer for you: it's your choice. SOmeone with a mustang will tell you that a camry will never be fast, never be cool, give up and buy a mustang. But it's your decision what you want to do to it because it all depends on your style. I have a 94 camry thats slow as hell but I love it and Im havin fun trickin it out. So in other words if you wanna do it, do it. It's no one else's place to say otherwise. Have fun and welcome to the forum

 

Whassup man. I am in the same boat you are. I bought my 99 Camry off of my parents for $3000 when it had 118k on the mileage. I think it is worth it, because those engines will last for another 200k (if you take care of em and keep the scheduled servicing/oil changes). Im not going as far as putting a supercharger in mine, but I am doing rims/tires, bodykit (w/spoiler and hood scoop), Interior, headlights, tail lights, yada yada yada. I already put in a short ram intake and a Borla exhaust. I think the only other things im going to do performance wise is install an ECU soft flasher (from Volo). Other than that, I might dress up the engine a bit. Is you Camry a 4 or 6 cyl?
