Default 2018 Camry Wheel Upgrade

Hi Guys,

Seeking some advise from anyone who has done this or similar, I currently have the stock 18x8 235/45 Mag wheels on my Camry. I have obtained a set of Renault RS 19x8.5 Mags that i would like to put on the car. I was looking at buying 245/40 tyres for them.

Does anyone know if ill have any rubbing issues with the bigger tyres?

Hi, I wanted to "upgrade" my 2010 wheels - 215/60R16 ET45 6 1/2 J so I bought Lexus 19" wheels and tyres. NOTE they also needed different wheel nuts at $85 for the set from Super Cheap.
Exact spec of new combination is 19x8J ET45 with 245/40R19 and they rubbed at the front. Interestingly, the tyres measure only 235 across not 245 (175 tyres on another car measure exactly 175). I cannot get under car yet so don't know how they are rubbing but 5mm spacer didn't help. Any wider spacers need new wheel studs, I put the standards back until I can see better what I need.
I'll put the car on a hoist, and post what I need to fit them when I get a chance.
Update: I checked OEM specs at https://www.wheel-size.com/ and Camry 19x8J wheels have ET37 but only 225/40R19 tyres. Be interesting to see how they fit, ie 8mm closer but smaller tyre.

Everything depends on how you drive, usually such size should be good when you drive normally, without racing. By brother has a Camry 3.5 and it goes pretty fast as you know, so he often likes to pull the pedal and burn the tires. He has a big collection of 215/55 R17 tires which are perfect for all Camry babes. The best thing you can do for you car, is just to take care of it and to know what it needs. Personally I know a lot of information about my car and everything for its maintenance. I can suggest you to read more on sites like https://completecar.ca/tire-reviews/best-winter-tires and you will be sure for 100% what tires better needs your car.
