Battery light comes on and off
Greetings, once the car (97 camry LE ) warms up, as I am going down the road.. the lights dim, eventually the battery light comes on, then comes back on (on & off ). Like the wattage frequently goes up and down.. I have new battery, new cables to battery, new spark plug wires, new spark plugs. ???
After the new battery was installed, was there any change in the lights dim, battery light comes on routine if even temporarily?
Any heavy current items such as a large amp aftermarket stereo amp?
Have you check the alternator? Check battery voltage engine running at 2000 rpm. Voltage should be something like 14-15 and be steady,.

Suggest you get a voltmeter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. See link below. Determine if the voltage drops when the battery light comes on or lights dim.

Could a bad alternator regulator or worn alternator brushes. The brush holder and brushes can be removed from the alternator for inspection while the alternator is still on the engine. Check wiring and electrical plug in at alternator.
The alternator is rated at 80-90 amps at around 2000 engine RPM. This would require a very large electrical load to exceed this rating.
When the battery light is off, with engine warm and running turn on as many electrical items as possible and determine if the light comes on.
