Need opinions on value please
102 year old WWII veteran selling his 06/2006 manufactured Camry XLE 6 cylinder. No rust, always dealer serviced, 30198 miles. Always garage kept with immaculate interior. Outside also excellent condition with very minor scratches on one door. I have looked at car value sites online that show a private party value of about $9000. But I feel this price is not taking into account the recent rise in used car prices. The family is asking $16000 for the car as it’s overall condition is EXCELLENT. What are your opinions of the price?
A 2006 Camry with 300K miles?
How did you come up with the $9K price?
Check out your local prices on Craigslist. Around here $5K seems to be the asking price for a clean car with MUCH less miles.
Would be interesting in how the seller came up with $16K. Do they really want to sell the car and are putting a high price not to have any buyers? Perhaps family issues as in someone in the family wants the car or some kind of tax issue?
