ive been searching. and now i have a question. is it possible to swap the newer 4th gen headlights (2000/2001) onto the 97-99 style?? ive been wanting jdm style headlight casings. BUT. heres what im really after. im getting HID lighting, and im wondering if im going to need a GLASS housing, or can i use my stock, plastic housing for these headlights? will they burn/melt the plastic housing? any help would be great!

 

there is few people did the gen4 to gen4.5 front end swap....i have see 1 people did the headlights swap too..so i think its possible....
i used to have hid kit on my old housing....it wont burn or melt housing...

 

ok. so if i put HID lighting, in my stock housings, it wont melt. but what about clarity and brightness? should i get clear housings? should i get projectors? CAN i even GET projectors for the gen4? and if the swap to a gen4.5 is possible, how hard? and isnt the 4.5 a two lamp system? gen4 is only one.

Where is it possible to get the 4th Gen's clear headlight housing?... or does it have to be custom made as well?... cuz for damn sure the clarity on the OE housing suck for days even w/an HID kit..

you will not need to get glass lenses but i (and everyone else here SHOULD BE) will HIGHLY suggest that you get projectors for your new HID bulbs, otherwise asking about clearing the lens is a moot point as you will be unable to focus your beam in the first place.

if you just went 'huh?', time to go back to the drawing board =)

 

does anyone know if they make projectors for my 95 camry v6, or any other nice mods
