Leather Steering Wheel
the leather o my steering wheel is blotched with both shiny and dull looking finish, Either from hand oil over the years or with use. I would like a shinny look over all if that is the look or the matte soft look if that is correct. What's the leather treatment and method to achieve what ever is correct?
i just get a cheap cover for mine honestly to just solve the immediate problem. later down the line i might look for something more permanent but not sure. i dont know if there are any real genuine treatment that will get that leather back to 100% op.
I looked at all of the slip-on Leather Steering Wheel Covers that the Automobile Supply stores sell and they all look a little bit like staring into the end of a pillow case. FYI, I have a 2021 Camry Hybrid with the LE trim level. Surprisingly, the best looking Steering Wheel Covers are the ones you sew together in the middle after you slip them over the steering wheel. I bought one of these for $10.00 from Amazon.com and although it took me over 2 hours to stitch the inside center halves together, the end result looks about 10 times better than any of the simple slip on type. If you take your time and don't skip any threads it would he hard to tell that it wasn't installed at the factory.
