Just wondering why you would want to replace your steering wheel and then not have an air bag infront of you? I have been in a near death wreck about 5 years ago,and I assure you,the airbag was the only thing that saved me.

I wouldnt recommend getting a new steering wheel. If you have to... sparco makes an adapter, but I'm pretty sure you do need some welding done.

I agree with everyone else. My friend wanted to do the same thing to his Mitsubishi eclipse to make it look more sporty, but I told him the same thing its not a good idea to drive without airbags. Come on think about it there trying to make cars with airbags in every corner now days and thats telling us that even two airbags aren't enough. It would look cool, but then again think about safety issues?

Not for nothing i agree that airbags help in 98% of cases but, they can cause injuries as well. For instace my mother is 4'11" and they suggest disableing the airbags in vehicles when the drive is under 5 feet. because of the risk of serious head and neck injuries.
