What are the specs on the non-JBL speakers that came in my 08 Le? Recently upgraded to a JVC KD-X270bt head unit and the sound is way better than the oem stereo. My unit puts out 50w max per speaker. Thinking I had JBL speakers, I went ahead and ordered a SKAR mini amplifier that does 100-140w RMS per speaker. I'm wanting to know if the oem speakers can handle/will sound better with the amp. Not interested in a ton of bass, just crystal clear sound quality. 👌

 

The speaker may be marked with the maximum wattage. If 50W then doubling or tripling the watt input may be a problem.
