Default CAMRY 97 audio head unit questions

i recently blew out my stock speakers and replace with
175 watt speakers in the front and 400 watt speakers in the back.
3 days later the speakers cut off during a normal day and i hear this distortion sound.
i check the speakers and everything is ok with them.

could it be the stock headunit going out because the speakers are too powerful?
or another cause?

please help

What is the rms for the speakers? Peak watts doesn't matter so let me know what the rms is. I know that my sisters car had the speakers replaced after it sounded like they were blown and it ended up being that the head unit went bad. Usually stock radios don't have the juice to power more than 15 watts rms without sound like they're breaking up. Even if you get a diffrent head unit if the rms is over 40 you should really consider getting a 4 ch amp. Hope this helps. I can give you more advice if you want like what headunit to look into and what amp, subs so on and so om
