Default 2009 nav issues

my friend just bought a 2009 camry but is not pleased with the factory nav/radio system.

first it takes foever for the radio to come on when you start the car - about 20 seconds.

second - after the radio starts and you want to go into the nav system you press the nav button - the radio cuts out/mutes/turns off, whatever you want to call it, for a few seconds for the nav to start.

it also seems like the radio cuts out momentarily when you perform other functions within the nav unit.

i have factory nav units in a jeep and chevy and i don't experience any of this so we were wondering if this is normal?

can anyone else out there with a new camry and nav tell me if this happens with theirs?

thanks,

My 09 Camry does have a short delay at first start up, Warning message an such, but nothing that I consider excessive. As for your radio cutting out when activating the navigation, mine does not have that problem. There is no cutting out when I do anything with the nav. I also have factory navigation systems in my other cars and the start up times are similar but no cutting out. You might want to ask your dealer about that.
