Default 2015 camry new oem radio install

My neighbor has a 2015 camry and he wants to change his current radio for a new oem radio since his stopped working. He found one on JEGS but it says it needs to be programmed from the dealership. Would it be programming the same security code as the original radio? Is this something he could do himself or does it really need to be done at a dealer? I've found a couple of unlock procedures, but most of what I found references unlocking the existing radio and not when installing a new one. Any help would be appreciated!

The code is looked up based on radio serial number.

There are some online sites that claim the can provide the code but this may be limited by year of car.

Suggest prior to obtaining a new radio find out what a Toyota dealer will charge for the code.
