I just bought a 99 camry with an aftermarket alarm system installed. The alarm goes off randomly every once in a while for a few seconds. Sometimes it goes off in the middle of the night. It just beeps for a few seconds then stops. Anybody have any idea what the problem is, and how do I stop it?

 

The sensitivity of the alarm might be really high. My friend's aftermarket alarm system does that also, and he says every little thing causes it to beep. Go back to the place where you got the alarm installed and ask them to turn down the sensitivity a bit and see if that works.

 

yeah its too sensetive.. thats how mine was.. a ricer will drive by and it'll set it off...
