Help me take apart my 96
Hey guys, i've got some aftermarket rear speakers that i want to put in my 96 camry, but i havent been able to for the longest time because i cant figur out how the back deck domes apart. Do the speaker covers just pop off or do i need to take apart half the frickin back of the thing to get 'em out?
thanks, Austin

You need to remove the rear deck.
Take out the rear lower seat. The front of the seat pulls up on each side. Plastic tabs along the lower front of the seat engage slots in the cars body. The seat can then be pulled forward and out.
On a one piece rear seat the upper seat hangs from a hook on each side of its back that attaches to the frame. The lower part of the seat is bolted to the frame.
If you have a fold down rear seat the inner seats are bolted at the bottom. You would then need to remove the two out sections of the seat trim.
Once you remove the seats you should have access to the front bolts that hold the rear deck on. The deck would then slide out.
The Autozone website should have info about removing these parts in their auto repair self help section.
