Does different types of ballasts change the output temperature of your lights? I have two different ballasts; one new slim ballast, and the other thick fat ballast. And I noticed the light associated with the thick fat ballast is brighter and more cleaner than the one with the slim ballast.

 

The ballast regulates the HID. A different ballast can cause the HID to function differently.

 

Thanks. I noticed that there would be a change in color of light output from the fat ballast but after some time it would go back to being the same color as the other ballast.

 

the digital slim ballest will wash out some of the color and it will be a diaffrent color. the bulb is what tells what color it is going to have you should really have two of the same ballest
