Default Instaling a Power cable to amp

I'm looking to install an amp but needed advice.I got an 02' camry and im not sure how to get past the fire wall. Is there a soft opening already there or should I just drill a new hole. if so should I drill to the left or right of the steering wheel?

Find a grommet that goes through the firewall. Poke something through the grommet followed by the wire.

Gray wire comes from the Radio No 2 fuse (ACC position-on at ign switch).

Not sure where the gray with stripes goes.

Driver side since your battery is located on the left; the shorter the run of cable equates to less resistance. I worked in a car audio store for years, we used metal hangers tied to the end of the cable to fish through the fire wall or any other obstructions.
