I tried to put a cd player in my 1995 camry and when I installed it the radio powered on but no sound came out of the speakers. As fas as I know the car has no internal amp or anything. I took out the stock tape player from toyota. I knew someone eles with a 1997 that had a similiar problem and only certain cd player's would work. Does anyone know would the problem might be and why I was getting no sound? Is there someting I am missing?

 

Make sure you hooked up all of the wires in the harness correctly and make sure they are are spliced together good.That is a common but simple to make mistake

 

if you used an after market wire harness witch most people due be sure that you used both plugs.

 

go for the ipod integration kit from dice electronics man. that should stop your problem right away. plus they have the new kits for '98-'07 models real cheap too. check it out man.
