Trunk randomly flooding

wet trunk
I hope you guys have fixed this by now but we had a similar issue with one of our camry's flooding in the passenger floor board. My question to you is do you have sunroofs? That is what it turned out to be for us. There are four tubes that drain the rain/water away from the sunroof. Each of them runs down one of the metal roof 'arms' to the ground. If one of them gets clogged up it will flood in the area the tube is running down. hence ours was clogged on the passenger side windshield tube. Took us months and many visits to several repair shops (many to our Toyota dealer!). Finally a couple of locals told us about this common issue, Toyota didn't have a clue. The guys that found it didn't want to be paid! No problem since.

I've been reading this thread since September. My 94 Camry trunk fills with water for about the last 10 years. The fender wells (left, primarily) get about 3-4" of water sloshing around after a rain.
I thought it was the trunk lid seal. But my rear tail light assembly was replaced, and it might the seal there. My tree trimmer hit the plastic with his truck and replaced it. Maybe he left off the seal.
To complicate things, I have a sunroof. We had 3 days of hard rain this week, but no leaks this time. Gremlins are at work.
