My 2000 Camry V-6 failed smog check. Everthing check out fine except the HC reading at 15mph. It passed great at 25mph. It's reading too many(54) HC when the max is 52. This is the second test. The first time, it read 81HC. I lowered that by installing new air cleaner, and new boots between the air cleaner box and the intake. Any suggestions to get this legal?

 

HC is hydrocarbons or unburned fuel or oil. A few simple things to check are, spark plugs, PCV system, if is oil dirty change it, try running some injector cleaner through the engine.
