Default 1996 2.2 4cyl Transmission

New here...thanks for taking time to look over this post. I'm working on a 96 2.2 and a switch located behind the shift indicator switch broke off, and I'm trying to identify it. Its located, as you're looking from the front down into the engine bay, immediately to the left of the kickdown cable, and appears to bolt into the transmission housing. Forgive my ignorance, but what is this switch called and what is its function?

Which part number on the list of parts for the link you provided?

This part is located on the outside or the inside the trans housing?

Can you take a photo?

The parts on the list are easily replaceable. You do need to know what specific part to get.
