1997 Windshield Upper Molding
Howdy all, I have a question and wanted to check in here first for some advice.
My 1997 LE has a loose windshield upper molding. It is this specific part as shown on this eBay listing: Toyota 97 01 Camry Windshield Upper Molding 75531AA011 | eBay
The molding has come out of where it should be on the passenger side, and a little more than half of the molding is now dislodged. I can put it back in the channel between the windshield and the car itself, but the part at the middle is "bent" outwards and comes back out. I've put electrical tape in as a stopgap, but I know I need to replace the part.
So, my question is...has anyone done this themselves? I've never replaced this part before, so I don't know how it is to be inserted, or how it will remain in place and not flop about like it does currently.
Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you taking the time to read this post.

The molding may be held in by built-in clips. The installer using a soft head hammer to pound the molding into the grove. If you can look behind the molding for what looks like a spring clip that will grip the groove and hold the trim in.
