hi camry 1993 model 220 sei engine 5sfve car starts in park when you move to drive car switches on and off when put in reverse switches off /just had gearbox cleaned with correct dekron fluid /new cork gasket new metal fliter 2 weeks ago was running well only little bit of metal shavings in old metal filter:

 

hio tried car just now all gears running smoothly reverse neutral etc with o/d and without..what was cause of earlier problem sticking valve inside gearbox is it serious should i just take gearbox for free diagnostic if it happens again or just drive untill it gives any symtoms thanks wayne

 

How much metal shavings? Did you change all the trans fluid or just a drain and refill?

Does the issues happen trans fluid cold, hot, pulling trailer or not?

Suspect the free diagnostic will state the trans needs replacing as at least around here this is the stock answer.
