Question 99 Camry 1MZ-FE throwing P0155 ODBII Code

My 1MZ-FE Camry is showing a P0155 code (O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1). There's no CEL and fuel economy is at 10L/100km (23.5MPG), which seems normal to me.

As the car seems to be running perfectly fine I'm tempted to ignore it. What do you experts think? I'm not clear on how much the sensor heater failure impacts the engine performance.

Cheers
Tom

How did you have a code if there was no CEL?
Most likely it is a bad O2 sensor but no CEL... THen I would run it.

Just scanned it for the sake of it as I recently got the car. Could be that the check engine light is not working. I’ve replaced the sensor now for the hell of it and the code is gone.

Thanks Paulie

Good call with replacing it. Hopefully that is the end of it.
Might want to see about the CEL not working though.
