i have a 2.2 motor ran fine all of a sudden it started miising on the highway at normal driving speeds and to top it off my torque strut was bad and the whole car was shaking , so i changed the fuel filter cause i was running low on gas that day, havent had it tested no codes yet but was told maybe egr by brotherinlaw maybe maf sensor, the check engine light came on flashes at certain times, it idles pretty good it pops in front exhaust ports drives fine at times then misses 2 seconds later highway i cruise at certain speeds no problems , i slow down or speed up feel around 60 mph the motor seems to hesitate shake a little then pick up,, any ideas?

These engines are known to shake even with a good strut.

The engine has a MAP sensor that seldom fails.

Have someone pull up any trouble codes. If the check engine light is flashing at times a code(s) has been stored that can be retrieved.

i think 1st of all you get freez frame data. you get ur obd II scanner and carefully observe live data and all sensor. dont believe the word MAY BE. you said check engine light flash for certain time when check engine light will come on freez frame data will get any kind of code or problem what u r looking for. it is not difficult. freez frame data will record 20 sec before and 20 sec after when ur car will get problem. i think this is only the way 100% find whats wrong. otherwise MAY BE this, that, .................................................. ....................
