Default 99 Camry Front Brake Pads

Meineke did my last front disc brake job on my 99 Camry and the wheels are constantly with pad dust. So I want to do replace the pads myself.

First question, what is the best pad that I can get for this car? Most part stores handle several brands and I want to make sure that I get the best.

Second question, I have done disc pad replacement in the past on other vehicles, but not on the Camry. Other than the basic replacement process, is there any other steps that I need to be aware of with this car?

Camry brakes are no different then other cars. Make sure you use a brake grease for noise (squeal) and try to retain any pad shims, clips etc you find.

Ceramic pads are supposed to have less dust.

Hawke, Brembo and Akebono are very good brands, no doubt there are others.

Toyota pads are also very good but not sure if they are ceramic type.

Might review posts at the Toyotanation website on brake dust and recommendations.
