I have a 2008 SE 6 cyl. does anyone know of an easier way to get the oil filter off if you dont have the special tool or a spanner wrench?

 

A Google search on "Changing 2GR-FE Oil Filter" will turn up a lot of hits including factory service directions.

The link below has a video. You will need to obtain an oil filter wrench, autoparts should have this. Use care when changing as some people have broken the oil tube attached to the engine.
