Default Passenger side rear bumper is detaching.

Hello,

Was in an accident a few weeks ago and hit a car while parking. The rear bumper on the passenger side was hit. The side of the bumper is detaching. I have attached photos. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix?

Please advise.

The "bumper" is a cover for the real bumper. If you look along the edge of the torn out section you should see what remains of tabs having a hole. The tabs are held to the chassis by plastic fasteners through the hole.

You might consider removing the cover, then inspecting it to determine if it worth reinstalling.

You can repair those little tabs with a little bit of fiberglass work. Use small patches and just cover the entire hole. When it has dried and hardened, sand accordingly and drill out the hole.
Time consuming but can save you some cash.
