I am having an impossible time finding instructions for how to replace my tail light assembly. Can anyone help me? I already have the replacement assembly but I'm not sure how to go about removing the old (shattered) assembly so I can install the new one. Any advice?

Would start by removing the bolts going into the flanges on the inside edge of the assy, Then rotate this edge slight out. Typically the outside of the light has a plastic pin/lug that slides into the chassis to held this side on. Look along the side of the assy that mates with the side of the chassis. Will need to move the light sideways to disengage this pin/lug.

The 2017 requires removing the bumper cover, not sure on this year.
