Default Replacing the Strut Assembly

I am going to replace all 4 strut assemblies on my 4 cyl '98 Camry LE (161k miles). Is this a repair that must be done at the mechanics ( I know a front end alignment is required after the replacement is complete) or is this something I can do myself? I have replaced brakes and spark plugs and replaced a drivers door handle before. Any advice?

The job is straight forward.

If you need to take apart the shock assembly to change out the struts you will need access to a spring compressor.

The AutoZone website should have info on this repair in their vehicle repair guides.
