I need to replace the MAP sensor on my 2.4L 4 cylinder 05 Camry, auto trans. I got the MAP sensor from NAPA; but for the life of me, I can't seem to locate it under the hood. I do not have a factory service manual. Anyone know where the location for the MAP sensor is, on an 05 Camry with the 2.4L 4 cyl?

Going by aftermarket internet information source that pros use,2005 camry 2.4 0r 3.0 or3.3 donot have a map sensor.The key toknowing if your car has oneis if it has a mass airflow sensor.9 out 10 times if it has a m.a.f. sensor it does not have a map sensor because they give the same info to engine computer.Just becase a parts tore shows one does not always mean the car has one.Your code is probably for mass airflow sensor and not maps ensor

I located a great parts site; with blown up viewing for specific parts area's at toyotapartzone.com From viewing this site; as you mentioned, the 05 Camry has no MAP sensor, just a MAF sensor - weird? Most domestics seem to use both a MAP sensor and MAF senor, or a BAP sensor (barometric absolute pressure), in place of a MAP.
