Default 1997 Camry - PO753 Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical

I have a 1997 Camry CE, which check engine light on. When I check the error code I get, PO753 Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical. How can I fix this? Thanks.

first check ur fluid condition if its real dirty have it flushed dirty fluid can cause this code even though it does say eletrical. if thats not the cause ur gonna have to remove the trans pan and possibley the valve body depending on where the A selonide is in the valve body then u will wnat to check the resistance on the solenide and wiring harness.

Thanks, I will try to change the fluid this weekend. Should I use genuine Toyota fluid or will any fluid due?

i always use dealer atf but i dont see a problem usuing aftermarket.

You have 2 shift solenoids and you be able to see them if you remove your transmission oil pan.
